This policy explains what personal data Taxi 13870 collects when you order a ride — by phone, on this site or in the app — why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
1 Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is Taxi 13870, the dispatch service in Strumica. For anything about your data, contact us:
- Phone 13-870
- Based in Strumica, North Macedonia
- Working hours 0–24, every day
2 What we collect
We collect only what we need to send you a car and to answer for the ride:
- Account: your name, email address, phone number and password. The password is kept only in a form it cannot be recovered from. If you sign in with Google, all we receive from Google is your name and email address.
- Confirmations: whether and when you confirmed your number and email address. The code that confirms your number is kept only in unreadable form and lasts ten minutes.
- Rides, online and by phone: the passenger’s name and number if given, the addresses as written, the place on the map, the time of each step, the number of passengers, the note for the driver, the price told and the fare charged, how it was paid, and the driver and car.
- Your location when ordering: only when you press “Use my location”, and only with that ride.
- The route of a ride: while the ride is under way — the car is on its way to you, waiting for you, or you are aboard — the positions the driver’s phone sends are kept on that ride. Nothing is kept before or after it.
- Feedback: the stars and the comment you leave after a ride.
- Calls to the desk: the number you ring from, when the call was and how long it lasted, which dispatcher answered, and the name our records link to that number.
- Call recordings: only if the office has switched recording on and you are told so at the start of the call. A recording is deleted after 30 days; the record that the call happened stays.
- Security records: when a sign-in fails we record the name typed, the IP address and the time, to protect accounts from password guessing.
- Payment cards: we never keep a card number. If we introduce online payment, you will enter your card with the payment provider, and we will keep only its reference, the card’s brand and its last four digits.
3 Why we use it
We use your data only for the following:
- To provide the service you ask for: to take your ride, send a car, let the driver find you and let you see where your ride is.
- To settle questions and complaints about a ride or a fare — which is why every ride stays on record.
- For security: to prevent fake rides, abuse and password guessing.
- For companies that ride on account: for invoicing and the records the law requires.
- To improve the service: from your feedback and, when recording is switched on, from call recordings — to train dispatchers and improve our tools.
4 Who we share it with
Your data is seen only by those who need it for the ride, and by a few service providers the site cannot work without:
- The driver: before taking the ride they see only where from, where to and when; your name and number only once they have taken it.
- The dispatchers and the office of Taxi 13870, to run the rides and answer questions.
- Cloudflare: the site reaches you through Cloudflare’s network, which protects it from attacks. On the sign-in and sign-up pages, when it is switched on, the Cloudflare Turnstile check confirms you are not a robot.
- Google Fonts: the site’s typefaces load from Google’s servers, so your IP address reaches Google when you visit.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- The map provider (OpenStreetMap today): the maps in the app are drawn from its servers, so your IP address reaches it when a map loads.
- Google Firebase: the alert about a new ride reaches the driver’s phone through Firebase Cloud Messaging. It carries the addresses and the time, but not your name or number.
- Anthropic: the office may use an AI assistant for questions about the cars and the rides. Names, addresses, times and fares from rides may then reach Anthropic, but phone numbers are masked before anything is sent.
- SMS and email providers: once they are switched on, they will carry the code that confirms your number and the link that confirms your email address.
Some of these providers are outside North Macedonia. We use them only for the purpose stated and with no more data than it needs.
We do not sell your data, rent it out or use it for advertising.
We give data to a public authority only when the law requires it.
5 Cookies
The site uses no cookies for tracking, analytics or advertising. We use only cookies the site cannot work without:
- A session cookie — when you sign in or change the language, so we know who you are and which language to use. It goes when you close the browser.
- A cookie that keeps you signed in — only if you choose it when signing in. It lasts one week.
- Cloudflare’s technical cookies, which it sets to protect the site from attacks.
These cookies need no consent, because without them you could not sign in or order. You can delete them in your browser’s settings; you will then have to sign in again.
6 How long we keep it
- Your account — for as long as you have it. If you ask us to close it, we delete or anonymise whatever we are not required to keep.
- Rides — as the record of our work, for questions, complaints and accounting.
- Invoices and the rides on them — for as long as accounting law requires.
- Call recordings — 30 days.
- Security records of sign-ins — 90 days.
7 Your rights
Under the Law on Personal Data Protection (Official Gazette of the Republic of North Macedonia No. 42/2020) you have the right:
- to know whether and which of your data we process, and to get a copy of it;
- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to have data erased that we no longer need to keep;
- to have the processing restricted;
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- to receive the data you gave us in a common, machine-readable format.
You can change your name, number, email address and password yourself under “Account”. If you change your number, it has to be confirmed again.
For anything else, ring 13-870 or reach us any of the ways on the contact page. We will answer within the time the law sets.
If you believe your data is processed against the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency.
